Literature Text

Plenty days
The seas shall grow dark with haze.
Me and crew
Have endure dark days of scurvy and the flu.
But a day
We chance upon of The Prey.
For the fight
Me crew and I fought hard til he was a fright.
Aye we sail
The seas lay fair and prevail.
It shall hold
For as long as I carry the heart of Gold.
And ever
Sail me ship that never fails.
Now take heed
Do not let other seamen have ye mislead.
They will lie
For might they like ye to die.
Remember
For they sail past me in the light of ember.
Seamen shake
When they see the vast mistake.
As they groan
And see that I control the Heart of Jones.
Ne'er they
Pillage me and disobey.
As I rule
The seven seas and I had many a dual.
All of which
The pillage have made me rich.
Now have I
Live me bucko life out that none can defy.
For I stand
With life that ever expand.
Thanksgiving
Toward me crew for having me stay living.
Now I will
Leave and bring time from its still.
Don't forget
To ne'er set sailing me seas for I'm threat.
For all men
Quiver at me name as hen.
Or they growl
As me name is whispered in winds, Captain Fowl.
I wrote this poem a while ago and wanted to share with you guys.
The poem is written in a repeating pattern of couplets that rhyme and the first line is three syllables and the second line has seven.
